Dear Parents and Students: The information below is an explanation of the class standards, student responsibilities and the subject content for this year:

Student Responsibilities:

  1. Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned bell work when the tardy bell rings.

  3. Bring your subject materials to class and take them with you when you leave.
  4. Avoid gum chewing, eating or drinking in class.
  5. Follow directions the first time given.

Rewards:  Verbal Praise,  A pleasant and orderly classroom atmosphere,  Outstanding conduct grade / Certificates, Extra-credit/ Special Treats

Consequences: Failure to comply with standards of conduct will result in disciplinary actions, which are posted and given to students:

  • Documentation
  • Student / Teacher Conference
  • Action Plan and Teacher / Parent Telephone Conference
  • Referral to Counselor/Detention
  • Referral to appropriate Administrator

Progress Reports: If your child is not making satisfactory progress in the course and in the areas mentioned, an interim progress report will be sent home toward the middle of each grading period so you will be made aware of any problems.

Student’s Responsibilities: Please take notes of these listed below and check often, to make certain the student is accepting his/her responsibilities.

1.  Extra help: If your child experiences any difficulties with the subject matter, it is his/her responsibility to see the teacher for help.

2.  Textbooks:  Label assigned textbook, which must be avaiilable for school and home learning/study. Students are financially responsible to replace any lost or damaged materials. You can access your textbook online, from the STUDENTS’ PORTAL or through the teacher’s website: http://mili.myclassupdates.com click on Interactive Science Textbook.
