Classroom Rules, Student Responsibilities, Class Materials & Subject Content
Dear
Parents and Students: The information below is an explanation of the class standards, student
responsibilities and the subject content for this year:
Student Responsibilities:
Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned bell work when
the tardy bell rings.
Raise your hand and wait to be recognized before speaking or leaving your seat. Any disruption prevents others
from learning in a positive quiet atmosphere.
Bring your subject materials to class and take them
with you when you leave.
Avoid gum chewing, eating or drinking in class.
Follow directions
the first time given.
Rewards: Verbal Praise, A pleasant
and orderly classroom atmosphere, Outstanding conduct
grade / Certificates, Extra-credit/ Special Treats
Consequences:
Failure to comply with standards of conduct will result in disciplinary actions, which are posted and given to students:
Documentation
Student / Teacher Conference
Action Plan and Teacher / Parent Telephone Conference
Referral to Counselor/Detention
Referral to appropriate Administrator
Progress Reports:
If your child is not making satisfactory progress in the course and in the areas mentioned, an interim progress report will
be sent home toward the middle of each grading period so you will be made aware of any problems.
Student’s
Responsibilities: Please take notes of these listed below and check often, to make certain the
student is accepting his/her responsibilities.
1. Extra
help: If your child experiences any difficulties with the subject matter, it is his/her responsibility
to see the teacher for help.
2. Textbooks: Label assigned textbook, which must be avaiilable
for school and home learning/study. Students are financially responsible to replace any lost or damaged materials. You can
access your textbook online, from the STUDENTS’ PORTAL or through the teacher’s website: http://mili.myclassupdates.com click on Interactive Science Textbook.
3. Materials/Supplies:
- Lab.
Fee: $6.00
- 1" Binder
- 1 Composition notebook
- 10 Sheet protectors
- 3 Dividers with tabs (Handouts/Classwork/Homework/)
- Copy paper (in the binder)
- Ruled paper (in the binder)
- 1 Dry erase marker,
earphones, highlighter, pencil, red pen, colored pencils, ruler, sharpener
and markers (personal use)
- 1 Calculator basic
functions (advanced classes).

Homework assignments:
Homework must be done and handed in on time for satisfactory progress. If a student is absent or placed in suspension,
it is the student's responsibility to update the missing classwork and complete homework. Check website: http://mili.myclassupdates.com to find out the homework.

Title/Subject Content: The content should include, but not be limited
to, the following:

Grade:
The Nature of Science, Matter, Energy, Forces and Motion, Forces that shaped
the Earth, Earth and Space, Living things and Environment, Earth as a System, Weather and Human Development.
I have discussed this plan with all the students in my class, but I would appreciate it if you would review it with
your child. Place this paper in the Science binder with the appropiate information and signatures for future
reference.
